A send off Ceremony starts at 10am at the UNI dome in Cedar Falls. There will be a brief ceremony the soldiers will than have 1/2 hour with friends and family they will than load the bus for Camp Shelby Mississippi for approx. 45 days and from their to California for training on a camp base that is very similar to Afghanistan camp they are going to. His year tour starts the minute he loads the bus on August 3rd. Anyone that would like to join us at the Dome please let me know, I will let you know where we are sitting. Please keep Mr. Schmitt and his wife Amanda in your prayers as they are also expecting a baby on November 4th and Mr. Schmitt will be gone for the arrival of his 1st child. |
