From Master Bob McDowell

The tournament starts Tuesday with Olympic full contact sparring. Tyler McDowell is the only one competing in that. On Friday Forms competition starts. On Saturday the Point Sparring begins and all my students are doing that. They include Matt Harbaugh...Temp. Black Belt. Tony Harbaugh... Brown belt. Hunter Woodley, Trapper Woodley, Fisher Woodly, Bryce Wulfkuhle, John Christianson all Blue belts. Tony McDowell !st Dan, Tyler McDowell 4th Dan and myself Bob McDowell 5th Dan. Tyler is a 3 time National Champ and I won also when we went the last time which was in 2003, Im really excited about doing this again and so are my students. Point sparring begins at 9 next Saturday morning at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison if anyone wants to come watch.

This event will have approximately 2000-3000 spectators ready for fights and lots of action..  The Manchester Martial Arts Academy was asked to put on an opening act.  Mr. Palmer thought it would be great to include more than just the Manchester Martial Arts Academy because the spectators will be from all over Easter Iowa.  Fighters represent towns from all over Iowa.  This should be a great get together event.  MMA will be bringing their 50x50 matted floor up for demo safety. 

If you would like to participate contact Mr. Palmer for more info and any items that you may need for the demo.  If you decide last minute to attend, plan on having your own stuff.

The demo will start at 7:00pm at the Delaware County Fair Grounds.  We would like all that are planning to attend to arrive around 6:00pm.
